Verily, Verily I say unto you
I have a new friend :-)
Everyone say hi to heaving melons
*waves frantically*
Anywyas, it seems all you have to do these days is complain about people and you automatically get readers. Heh. The morbidly bitchy part of me loves this idea, however I don't think that's how you make firends. Wouldn't it be fun though, to just go around and bitch at people? You'd get so many god damn readers it would be rediculous.
Quoting rachel:
Ah, the Baltimore-Blog-Aristocracy. It seems that most start as as bottom feeders, pimping shamelessly for readers and adapting their interests to match those of the new blogger friends they want to woo. Step two would be the inside jokes and incessant linking. Step three is social obliteration of those lowly ones not in the appropriate blog circles, and without content that almost mimics their own. Avoid the happy hours.
I wonder if this whole blog thing will eventually implode upon itself and destroy us all, like some unholly virtual armegedon.
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Revelation 12:12

Waving Back :)
Just for the record I wouldn't have commented if you hadn't bitched. But it's probably a married guy thing.. the wife bitches you do something.

Woah! Yes I did say that, perhaps I should've waited until after the hangover to comment. Maybe I should apologize to whomever I may have offended, but I won't, I'm just a holly-go-lightly little ray of sunshine lately. Must be all the left-over angst from my early 20s.

you didn't offend anyone! It was just morbidly entertaining, thats all. Let me know if you wish me to remove the quote and/or comment.
no harm done!

Good heavens no, keep it up there, if nothing else I can be accountable.
Posted by: Rachael at June 26, 2006 02:32 PM
Wow some one that actually is accountable.. not something you find often in the blogs or America.. I'd buy you a drink at a blogger happy hour.. but neither of us would be invited and then we would be party crashers. The arrest record it self for the fight that would break out over that. OMG.
I think what I was trying to say is good comment Rachael.

There is no invite to the happy hours -- someone hosts, they're open invites for whoever wants to drink and meet bloggers. Non-bloggers occasionally show. If you never go to the happy hours, of course you're going to feel left out and not want to go to them, but it's a bit of a self-fulfilling circle deal.

Snay there was a bit of humor that obviously stopped at my NIC card. To be honest I don't want to be left in. I don't do this as a way to meet other bloggers in person. Comment to Comment and maybe e-mail is good for me.
What I have always liked about local blogs is the same reason I have liked movies that have local themes. I know the places they are talking about.
Blogging Circles are like high school in my opinion just more social drama and don't get me wrong you have told me that you have made real life friends from blogging. That's you.
I think that's enough of my 2 cents..
Heaving out :)
